About Us
Above Par Contracting is a Lenexa-based, licensed and insured general contracting company. APC’s owner, Jeff Hanchar, is married to Hannah Hanchar and they have 4 wonderful (most of the time 😊) children, ranging from 18 years old down to less than a year old!
Jeff’s love of construction started early on when he worked on concrete crews, framed houses and built decks when he was in high school and during summer breaks while in college. After college he had a very rewarding career in the home inspections industry and spent the final years there as an operations director.
While a terrific career, the right doors opened, and Jeff was able to get back to what he finds the greatest enjoyment in… building things! He enjoys problem-solving, creative thinking and attention to detail.
He truly loves what he does and can’t imagine doing anything else.
What we believe
At APC we are quality-driven and believe excellence in craftsmanship shouldn’t be an upgrade, it should be standard. We don’t believe in using cheap labor or cutting corners that will water down the overall quality of the project. We believe in doing it right the first time, with the right people, and exceeding construction standards as well as our client’s expectations. Small details matter and are often the difference between a space being good, and it being great.
We believe in frequent and detailed communication, essentially bringing an uncommon level of professionalism to the remodeling field. We believe in doing our business in the daylight, being transparent and taking care of people the right way throughout their project. The smile on our client’s face when we finish a project makes all the hard work worth it!
